This is excessive. We don’t want to bore anybody, so here is the short version.

Our health insurance will along term contract with ADAC, a German automobile club. Our experience with their other products is good so far. So we will give it a try.

The car is registered in Germany and insured as well. The technical inspection including the sticker will just expire and not be extended. This has to be covered by the driver.

Both of us still have quite some years to get to retirement age. We actually don’t even believe that we will get retirement by the time we get there.  So of course it’s your business to take care of that. The choices are enormous. Real estate, saving plans, bonds or stock market – it’s your choice. Again. Thinking outside the box helps! Decide what kind of back up you need and set up a plan. The lower the risk, the lower the yield.
